Program Assistant for Constituent Engagement
Lainey joined the ISU Alumni Association staff in August 2016 following extensive undergraduate experience as an event coordinator for the Memorial Union Event Management Office, Maintenance Shop, and Student Union Board. She also served as building supervisor for the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals that were held on the ISU campus in May 2016. In her current position, she coordinates the Alumni Association's Cyclone Central tailgates at the ISU Alumni Center before each home football game and the annual Cy's Days of Service initiative. Hometown: Marshalltown, Iowa
Favorite ISU tradition: Homecoming! Everyone is so busy around that time, but the excitement, celebration and ISU pride that comes from students, faculty & staff, alumni and the Ames community is just the best!
Favorite food: Breakfast food. I could eat it for any meal of the day.
What I like about my job: I enjoy getting to continue my adventure at Iowa State while working with a passionate and dedicated staff and connecting with alumni from all over the country.
In my spare time, I like to: spend time with family & friends, go to concerts, dance, watch Netflix and movies, and cheer on the Cyclones!
Something unique that most people don't know about me: I randomly won a trip to Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and only had to pay for food and souvenirs. That is the only time I’ve traveled outside of the United States, although I hope to continue filling up my passport.
