Geoffrey is a retired partner of StruXture Architects in Waterloo, Iowa. He was president of the firm for more than 25 years, designing educational facilities around the state. He has also served as president of the Iowa Chapter, American Institute of Architects. As an ISU student, he participated in Varieties (sweepstakes emcee and central committee), Tau Beta Pi, and Tau Sigma Delta. He was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. His recent involvement in the Cedar Valley community includes the board of Junior Achievement, Friends of the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, and the Waterloo Community Foundation. He has twice served as campaign chair or co-chair of Cedar Valley United Way. He is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he is an elder and serves on the Vision Implementation Committee and is a member of the chancel choir.  He has been chair of the Iowa State Alumni of Black Hawk County for more than 10 years. He has also served on the advisory committee for ISU’s Department of Architecture. He has served the ISUAA Board as Vice Chair of Finance, Finance Committee Chair, Alumni Center Oversight Committee Chair, and as a member of both the ISUAA Scholarship Task Force and the ISU Alumni Clubs Advisory Work Group. He and his wife, Vicki, have two married children and two grandchildren.
