As the director for alumni relations for ISU's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Kim oversees the college’s alumni relations activities and serves as a primary contact for college departments on alumni activities, communication, events, and strategic priorities. She also provides advice and support to college administration about annual nominations for alumni awards and honors.
Prior to joining the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, she spent eight years working for the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State in positions including academic adviser, internship coordinator, program coordinator, and assistant to the director. During this time, she worked with the Greenlee School’s alumni and friends to coordinate events, to create internship opportunities for students, and to increase placement. She also managed the redevelopment of the Greenlee School’s Alumni & Friends organization and served as a member of its leadership board. She has served the ISUAA Board as primary Young Alumni Council liaison and as a member of both the Awards Review and Selection and Membership and Revenue Enhancement Committees.
