Suzanne is the retired executive vice president and compliance officer for the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), Inc., a global not-for-profit organization at which she served for 30 years. Her experience includes fundraising, governance, board development, and leadership in organizational effectiveness for the NKF and other not-for-profit organizations. During her NKF tenure, she was responsible for staffing the governance, nominating, training and affiliate relations committees, many ad hoc groups, and the strategic planning process. She managed a variety of staff departments, including public information, affiliate services, meetings and events, and training/education for volunteers and staff at the national and local levels. Suzanne is a past president of Dimensions Unlimited, a women’s leadership organization; served on the board of directors of the Kansas City Women’s Chamber of Commerce; was a member of the Agency Executives Association with the Heart of America United Way; and was a board member and personnel committee chair for Rose Brooks Center, a domestic violence intervention program and shelter. She co-chaired the 20th anniversary Celebration of Women committee for the Women’s Foundation of Kansas City.
