Carol Anderson
Carol is president of LORAC Consulting, LLC, in Cobb, Wis. She is professor emeriti, Department of Human Development, College of Human Ecology, at Cornell University. She served as associate director of Cornell Cooperative Extension for 20 years and as assistant dean of the College of Human Ecology. She has served as president of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) and is currently editor of the Journal of FCS. Carol received the ISU Alumni Association Outstanding Young Alumna award in 1978 and the ISU College of FCS Professional Achievement Award in 1991. She received the 2005 American Association of FCS Distinguished Service Award. She is active in public policy, both in Wisconsin and nationally. She was elected to the Iowa County (WI) Board of Supervisors and serves on committees such as Planning and Zoning and Administration. Carol has been involved in her church and chamber of commerce and was the first female president of her local Rotary. She is chair of the local Hospice/Home Care advisor board and a member of the County Family Resource Center Board. She has served on the Nominating, Governance, and Awards Committees. |
