Deb has been a civil litigator with Davis, Brown, Koehn, Shors & Roberts, P.C., of Des Moines for 27 years. She received her law degree from the University of Iowa. As a student at Iowa State, Deb was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Lambda Delta honorary, and was a house officer of Fuller House. Deb has been involved with the Public Library of Des Moines Foundation, New Directions Homeless Shelter, Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Polk County Judicial Nomination Commission, the Board of Iowa Legal Aid, and the Iowa Defense Counsel Board of Directors. She served the ISUAA as a member of the Policies and Procedures Task Force; Bylaws, Membership and Revenue Enhancement, Governance, and Executive Committeesl and served as vice chair of records. Deb is a member of The Order of the Knoll. She has seven children, including two ISU graduates and one ISU student.
