Mick is chairman and president of Treynor State Bank, Treynor, Iowa. From 1995 through 1999, he served as Iowa's superintendent of banking. As a student, Mick was president of ISU Pep Council, chair of the Interfraternity-Panhellenic Joint Board, and was a member of IFC Administrative Board. He was involved in a number of military honorary societies, and he performed as the Cyclone mascot at athletic events. Mick has been president-elect of the Iowa Bankers Association Community Bankers Council. He has also served on the boards of the Southwest Iowa Industrial Site, Mercy Hospital Council Bluffs, Deaf Missions, and Mercy Midlands Health Corporation. Mick has assisted Iowa State on the U.S./Slovakian Team on Agriculture Finance and Credit and has served on the Omaha/Council Bluffs steering committee for ISU Foundation fundraising. He and his wife, Judy ('68 home economics education), have served on the ISU Parents Council. Mick is a member of the Order of the Knoll, has served on the ISUAA Finance and Membership and Revenue Enhancement Committees, and twice chaired the Alliance for ISU.
