Richard is the executive director of the Iowa Pork Producers Association. He has been actively involved in promoting food safety and supporting Iowa’s farmers through participation in several state and national boards. Rich has served on several ISU search committees, including the agriculture dean and veterinary medicine dean. He currently serves on the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Advisory Council and on the Ag and Biosystems Engineering External Advisory Council. Rich and Nancy are members of the Order of the Knoll. They have endowed a scholarship fund in animal science and a program fund at the Alumni Association. He has served on the Finance and Governance Committees as well as the Long-Term Financial Sustainability Task Force. Additionally, he has served as a legislative liaison.
