Ron is retired from IBM, where he most recently was director responsible for all state and local government and education strategic outsourcing accounts in the Central and Western regions of the United States and previously was vice president, customer engagements in the network services group. Currently Ron works for the Ames Economic Development Commission. He is a recent graduate of Leadership Iowa, a nine-month program of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry. As a student at Iowa State, he was involved in Theta Delta Chi fraternity (and he remains involved as president of the corporation board and as house adviser), Student Senate election activities, Homecoming Central and Greek Week events, Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, and intramurals. Ron and Pam have attended many alumni events in the Ames and Chicago areas. They are also members of Order of the Knoll and Cyclone Club. Ron has served on the ISUAA Board of Directors as vice chair of finance, as chair-elect, and as chair. He has both served on and chaired the Alumni Center Oversight, Governance, Finance, and Executive Committees. Ron has also served on the CEO Evaluation Committee, the Officers Nominating Committee, the Strategic Planning Task Force, and acted as the board liaison for the ISU Alumni Center construction project.
