Deanne joined the staff in September 2005 as a member of the Outreach and Events Team. Deanne is responsible for spirit rallies in conjunction with bowl games, Big 12 tournaments, and other athletics-related events. She is in charge of the pregame tailgates before football games at the ISU Alumni Center. Deanne earned a master's degree in management from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. She has extensive experience working with volunteeers and planning events for the American Cancer Society and March of Dimes.

Hometown: Grew up on a farm and went to school in Shelby, Iowa
Favorite ISU tradition: VEISHEA -- especialy in the early 80s
Favorite food: Homemade vanilla ice cream
What I like about my job: Meeting people of all ages from all over the United States who love Iowa State almost as much as I do
In my spare time, I like to: What spare time? I am usually running my kids to their activities. However, if I do get free time I like to read, travel, golf, and get together with friends
