Kate joined the Alumni Association staff in 2003 from the ISU Department of Residence. As Associate Director of Communications she coordinates the Alumni Association's websites and social media; serves as editor of the ISU News Flash electronic newsletter; and assists with other communications to Alumni Association members, including VISIONS magazine. Kate is also a committee liaison to the Young Alumni Council.

Favorite food: anything with roasted red pepper
What I like about my job: I get the opportunity to write about something I love: my alma mater.
In my spare time, I like to: write, read, golf, cook, follow college sports, and surf the Web.
Something unique that most people don't know about me: I have the "Dr. Seuss gene." I once won a statewide poetry contest for a goofy rhyming poem I wrote about pizza, and I have written several light-hearted rhyming stories, poems, and greeting cards over the years.
