Kate joined the Alumni Association staff in 2003 from the ISU Department of Residence. As Associate Director of Communications she coordinates the Alumni Association's Web site, as well as the Web sites for the Alumni Association's student programs; serves as editor of the ISU News Flash electronic newsletter; oversees all electronic communications for the Association; and serves as associate editor of VISIONS, working primarily with the magazine's 'Sports' and 'Around Campus' content.

What I like about my job: I get the opportunity to write about something I love: my alma mater.
In my spare time, I like to: write, read, run, download music off iTunes, watch CSPAN (Yes, I'm a nerd.), follow Cyclone sports, spend time with family and friends, and surf the Web.
Something unique that most people don't know about me: I have the "Dr. Seuss gene." I once won a statewide poetry contest for a goofy rhyming poem I wrote about pizza, and I have written several light-hearted rhyming stories, poems, and greeting cards over the years.
