Kurt joined the ISU Alumni Association staff in May 2007 as adviser to the Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC), the Alumni Association's award-winning student leadership organization that includes the following committees: Homecoming Central, Senior Class Council, Cyclone Alley Central, and Ambassadors, in addition to the organization's Executive Committee. Kurt was a graduate assistant at the Miami University Alumni Association from 2005 to 2007.

Favorite ISU tradition: Homecoming! Buttons, football, and lawn displays make for a great fall at Iowa State
Favorite food: It's practically impossible for me to narrow it down, but probably some Hickory Park ice cream
What I like about my job: I love working with current students who are doing a million things at the same time while still contributing their time and energy to Iowa State
In my spare time, I like to: Relax, keep up on the news, and spend time with family
Something unique that most people don't know about me: I'm very interested in politics and keep up on news and world events as much as possible
