Michelle joined the Alumni Association staff in December 2007 after 17 years in information technology and administrative data processing at Iowa State. Her primary responsibilities as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer are to oversee human resources, staff training and development, strategic planning, and project management.

Hometown: Coulter, Iowa
Favorite ISU tradition: Walking on campus and hearing the campanile play “The Bells of Iowa State”
Favorite food: A good beef roast with potatoes and carrots, lasagna, ice cream and chocolate (not necessarily in that order)
What I like about my job: All the wonderful people I get to interact with, including our incredible staff, awesome alumni and friends, great volunteers, and special campus colleagues. It’s also an incredible opportunity to promote my alma mater.
In my spare time, I like to: Bake, cook, and go ATVing.
Something unique that most people don't know about me: I can drive a tractor with an auger wagon or field cultivator as well as a grain truck. So far, all the fences are still intact!
