 Sara GatchelAssistant Director for Membership and Marketing Annual Member (515) 294-3977 sgatchel@alumni.iastate.edu Sara joined the Alumni Association staff in March 2007. She works extensively with the Alumni Association's membership and merchandise programs and provides assistance with member benefits and services to the ISUAA's 50,000-plus members. Sara also coordinates the Legacy Club and New Grad membership recruitment. About Sara Hometown: Huxley, Iowa Favorite ISU tradition: Even though I didn't attend ISU, I remember the cherry pies at VEISHEA when I was younger. Yum! Favorite food: I could eat Mexican food or ice cream (or both!) every day. And when I can, I eat at my parents' house -- they're both excellent cooks! What I like about my job: Connecting via phone, e-mail, or at an event with our many, many members. Iowa State University is a great place with great staff, alumni, and friends! In my spare time, I like to: Volunteer, play with my dogs and cats or my nephew, read chick lit, and shop Something unique that most people don't know about me: I haven't eaten meat since I was eight years old. |
