Lisa, an Iowa State graduate turned permanent resident of Ames, is employed by the Krell Institute as corporate communications coordinator. In that role she develops branded materials to support existing projects and solicit new business; authors and disseminates corporate and program news releases; provides strategic support in the redesign and management of company and client websites; and aids with conference planning, execution and evaluation. Prior to joining Krell, Lisa was employed by Proliant Meat Ingredients of Ankeny, Iowa, for five years.
A former president of the Young Professionals of Ames (YPA) − a civic and professional development organization for 150+ Ames residents aged 21 to 40 − Lisa completed her sixth year on the executive board in December 2010. Continuing her involvement with YPA, she now serves on the organization's membership and social committee planning events and promoting the membership opportunity.
Lisa, who earned her bachelor of arts in journalism and mass communications from ISU in 2003, was involved extensively with the Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC) and the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) as a student. Specific to SALC, her past leadership experiences include roles as vice president for marketing, member of the Collegiate Marketing Committee and co-author of the Senior Class Council's 2002 senior publication.
