Monica graduated from Iowa State in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and launched a career in public relations that has led her back to a passion for work in higher education development. Today she is employed as the assistant director of alumni relations at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. She previously worked as director of young alumni & student giving for the UCLA Fund at the University of California-Los Angeles. Monica was first involved in student alumni programming as a member of ISU’s Student Alumni Leadership Council. Monica was an events coordinator who eventually became vice president of Cyclone Alley Central. She was also extensively involved with Sigma Kappa Sorority, of which she served as president. In 2006, she was named the ISU Collegiate Panhellenic Council President of the Year. She is an annual member of the ISU Alumni Association.
