Wells Fargo & Company is more than a donor to Iowa State University and its academic and athletics programs. It’s an investor. Wells Fargo & Company invests in the students, faculty, facilities, and programs of the university because the company believes in the potential that exists on campus. Its commitment to Iowa State guarantees the next generation of leaders will have many opportunities throughout their college careers.

Wells Fargo has made gifts totaling more than $2 million to Iowa State during 34 consecutive years of giving. The financial institution has provided leadership-level gifts for the Wells Fargo Professorship in Finance, Gerdin Building Fund (Wells Fargo & Company Classroom), Wells Fargo Scholarship Fund, Wells Fargo Endowment Fund for Accounting and Finance, Cyclone Club, and the Hixson-Lied Student Success Center.

Giving by Wells Fargo has had a direct impact on faculty, students and student-athletes. It has provided classroom space, faculty development, scholarships, and experimental opportunities for students through internships and employment. In the past 15 years, more than 125 Iowa State students have received scholarships from Wells Fargo.

Employees of Wells Fargo & Company have been involved on numerous boards at Iowa State and have served as guest speakers in classes throughout campus. Wells Fargo’s willingness to provide executives for presentations to student organizations has resulted in practical experiences for the students.

Wells Fargo is also an annual participant in the Iowa State career fairs and is one of the top employers for all Iowa State graduates. In the past five years alone, the company has recruited more than 200 full-time hires and more than 35 interns from Iowa State’s College of Business.
