Linda and John Dasher

Ames, Iowa

Linda and John Dasher have provided literally thousands of volunteer hours supporting and enhancing Iowa State. The couple has led fund-raising efforts including the ISU Foundation’s Partnership for Prominence Campaign, C.Y. Stephens Auditorium renovation, and special projects for University Museums and other campus art. Both have been elected governors of the ISU Foundation, serving in key leadership positions – John as chair of the ISU Foundation Board of Directors and Linda as chair of the ISU Foundation Women and Philanthropy Steering Committee. John has served on advisory boards for the College of Business, College of Family and Consumer Science, Iowa State Center, and the Knoll renovation.

The Dashers are members of Order of the Knoll and life members of the ISU Alumni Association. In addition to their involvement with Iowa State, Linda has chaired the Mary Greeley Hospital Board. Both have served as president of the Ames Chamber of Commerce. John has been a district governor for Rotary and served on the Hotel at Gateway Center Board. John is president of Dasher Management, DBA, McDonald’s of Ames. Linda is a consultant on business and social etiquette and is a partner with her husband in McDonald’s of Ames.
