Richard O. Jacobson

Dick Jacobson has provided significant financial support to Iowa State, to ISU Athletics, and the College of Business and has been a loyal supporter of ISU for more than 30 years. With the help of Dick’s leadership and financial resources, the Department of Athletics has seen an unprecedented era of success since the Jacobson Athletic Building opened, a state-of-the-art facility that was funded in large part by Jacobson’s lead gift. Jacobson understands the importance of higher education and encourages others to support the needs of the university. His Jacobson Faculty Fellowship has allowed the College of Business to provide incentives to retain quality faculty, funds a management conference, and supports student scholarships.

Jacobson is chairman of the board of Jacobson Companies of Des Moines, which includes Warehouse, Transportation, Logistics, Packaging, Industrial Services, and Investment Services.

Jacobson is a member of Order of the Knoll, is an ISU Foundation governor, and has served on the ISU Foundation Board of Directors.
