Dan Etler
BBA Finance '95 Shawnee, Kan.
Theresa Uchytil Etler

Iowa State has always meant something special to Theresa and Dan Etler, a pair of second-generation ISU graduates who met and married on the university’s campus. Today Theresa and Dan work together to bring a slice of that campus to the Kansas City area as president and treasurer, respectively, of the ISU Alumni Association Club of Kansas City.
The Etlers have made the club one of the nation’s strongest. They have planned and carried out a variety of unique activities for alumni. In addition, the ISUAA Club of Kansas City holds the distinction of being the club that annually generates the most new Alumni Association memberships for Iowa State—a testament to the Etlers’ enthusiastic leadership.
Theresa is a sales representative for Johnson & Johnson and is active with the Junior League of Kansas City, Mo. While at Iowa State she was the feature twirler with the ISU Cyclone Marching Band, and she has since parlayed her love of baton twirling into a successful stint as coach/choreographer with the twirling corps in Carrollton, Mo. As Miss Iowa 2000, she served as a national spokesperson for the Americans with Disabilities Act and Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, and she received the Governor’s Award for the Iowa Division of Persons with Disabilities in 2001. Dan currently works as a program leader for Hallmark Cards and volunteers with Junior Achievement and the Kansas City Zoo.
The Etlers are lifetime members of the ISU Alumni Association and members of the National Cyclone Club.
