Since earning his Ph.D. from Iowa State in 1994, Chadalavada has risen quickly and steadily to the position of senior vice president, market and system solutions, for Independent System Operator New England in Holyoke, Mass.—a position he has held since 2003.

He has brought exceptional communication skill, intelligent innovation, and creative leadership to an organization that tackles complex issues on a daily basis.

Prior to joining ISO-New England Chadalavada spent nine years at Siemens Energy Management and Information Systems, where he was promoted four times and rose to the title of vice president and general manager. He was one of approximately 25 employees in the U.S. to participate in the company’s Advanced Management Program, and his division received a global performance award in 2003.

Chadalavada has also received the Research Excellence Award (1994) and the Professional Progress in Engineering Award (2007) from Iowa State University. He and his wife, Vani, have two children: Anish and Akash.
