Clark Richardson aspires to make the world a better place through hard work and dedication, and he has trekked the globe as well as the ISU campus to help make his dreams a reality. It starts on campus with his service to Dance Marathon, an organization that raised more than $170,000 this year for the Children’s Miracle Network and University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. Richardson recently served as the organization’s general co-chair following terms as community development director and morale captain. A Truman Finalist and President’s Junior Leadership Award recipient, Richardson is currently pursuing four academic majors at ISU. He is the vice president of finances for the International Association of Students in Agriculture and Related Sciences; a board member for Pages of Promise, which provides college textbooks to students in Africa; and the publicity co-chair for FACES, an annual diversity celebration in Ames. He has traveled to Uganda with ISU’s Sustainable Rural Livelihoods Program and to Costa Rica as a volunteer math and science teacher for Earth University. In addition, Richardson has been active in organizing alternative Spring Breaks, leading groups of students to work at a Minnesota  camp for children affected by HIV/AIDS and to work with the homeless in Chicago. On campus, Richardson has been active with the Student Foundation Committee, Cyclones for Christ, Acacia Fraternity, the ISU Committee on Lectures, Freshmen Council, VEISHEA Special Events Committee, and the Government of the Student Body. He is a member of the Student Alumni Association.
