Cory Hanson 2006Cory Hanson
Story City, Iowa Cory Hanson’s name has long been synonymous with involvement at Iowa State University -- among fellow students, faculty and staff, Ames community leaders, and Iowa State alumni. The Story City native’s on-campus leadership has included co-directorship of Dance Marathon 2006 and a stint as business sponsorship director for the organization -- ISU’s largest philanthropy -- in 2005. As an alumni relations specialist for LINC 2005, Hanson coordinated the first-ever VEISHEA alumni reunion. He has been extensively involved in VEISHEA and the Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC). He has served as events chair for ISU Business Council, co-chair of Greek Week 2005, and as an advisor to the Freshmen Council. He has also been involved with the Student Foundation Committee, GRIP, ISU Admissions’ STAR program, Order of Omega, Destination Iowa State, Cardinal Key Honor Society, the President’s Leadership Initiative, Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Eta Sigma, the Heart Connection, and his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta. Hanson is currently working as an intern with the ISU Alumni Association to organize a leadership conference for alumni volunteers across the country. He is a student member of the ISU Alumni Association. |
