Kyle Peterson 2009Kyle Peterson
Harwood, N.D. Kyle Peterson is a born leader. His leadership style can be subtle or overt, but it is always flexible, thoughtful, and friendly. And for the management of ISU’s student-run spring celebration, VEISHEA, all these qualities are a perfect fit. Peterson served as VEISHEA general co-chair from 2007-2008 after previous stints as a member of the public relations committee (2005-2006) and Stars Over VEISHEA producer (2006-2007). As general co-chair, Peterson oversaw one of the most challenging VEISHEAs of all time: a snowy event that marked the closing of ISU’s year-long sesquicentennial celebration. Peterson handled the challenges with aplomb. Through everything he has done for VEISHEA, he has demonstrated a love for and commitment to advancing the longtime university tradition. Today, he serves as an adviser and Webmaster for the VEISHEA organization. In addition to his extensive involvement with VEISHEA, Peterson is also a member of the Student Foundation Committee and Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He served as an ISU Dance Marathon morale captain in 2007 and as president of ISU’s Freshmen Council in 2005. He is the 2008 recipient of both the David J. Henry All-University Leadership and Academic Excellence Scholarship and the Cardinal Key Outstanding Senior Scholarship Award. He is a member of the Student Alumni Association. |
