Brad BishopFairfield, Iowa From his many leadership activities to his varied academic and internship experiences, Brad Bishop has been fully engaged with the Iowa State University campus since arriving in 2002. Now, as a senior, he is the president of the Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC), an organization with which he first became involved as a founding co-chair of Cyclone Alley, the popular student spirit organization for men’s and women’s basketball. Today, as president of SALC, he oversees all five of the organization’s committees and serves as a member of the ISU Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. Bishop is a past chairman of the Iowa State University Foundation Student committee, which hosts alumni and friends of the university at events. Last semester, he was a Watson Fellow with the ISU Foundation and served as a development intern for ISU’s College of Agriculture. Other leadership experiences include serving as operations manager for Engineers’ Week 2004 and as a committee member for Engineers’ Week 2003, service on the Reiman Gardens Advisory Board and as a Student Admissions Representative, and extensive experience with Freshmen Council, among other activities. He also currently gives his time as a GRIP mentor to elementary school boys through Youth & Shelter Services and as an Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering Ambassador. Bishop is a student member of the ISU Alumni Association. |
