Tony BorichAmes, Iowa Tony Borich has been a community and campus activist throughout his career as an Iowa State student. The Ames native and founder/vice president of the Campustown Student Association has served as the president of the ISU Design Council, trustee of the Ames Transit Agency, and on the National Cyclone Club Advisory Board. Borich has also been involved extensively in VEISHEA/One Community and ISU’s Government of the Student Body, serving the latter as College of Design senator and Ames City Council liaison. His work with the VEISHEA Advisory Council, One Community Implementation Committee, and VEISHEA 2004 Disturbance Analysis Task Force helped determine a path forward for ISU’s popular spring celebration. A member of the Pre-Law Club, Borich is a National Merit Scholar and a member of both Phi Kappa Phi and the Honors Program. His work experience has included serving as a teaching assistant both for the Department of Political Science and the Freshman Honors Program. He also spent time in 2005 as a research intern with the Iowa Environmental Council, specifically working with the Clean Water Act. He is a student member of the ISU Alumni Association. |
