Tyler Strom 2008
Tyler StromElgin, Ill. Tyler Strom’s commitment to public and community service has been nearly limitless during his four years at Iowa State University, with participation in a variety of leadership and service activities that his nominators say reflects his giving and charismatic personality. He currently serves as Dance Marathon’s general co-director and last year served GSB as its director of governmental relations. He has been a board member for the ISU Foundation Student Committee, a member of the University Honors Program, a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, and a GRIP (Great Relationships in Pairs) mentor. Strom has previously been involved with the university’s Leadership Journey steering committee, Freshmen Council, Agricultural Business Club, CRU Bible Study, ISU’s 2006 accreditation review commission, VEISHEA, ISU Ambassadors, Executive Council, Operation Playground, Destination Iowa State, Freshmen Honors, and President’s Leadership Class. In 2004, he volunteered with the World Food Prize Ceremony in Des Moines, and he has worked as an intern in both the White House Office of Political Affairs and the Office of the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2003 he served as a congressional page in the U.S. House of Representatives. Strom has been a Student Alumni Association member for four years. |
