Family of the Year Society



The Iowa State University Family of the Year Program has been capturing memories for Iowa State families for close to 40 years.  Since 1968, 38 families have been selected to represent all families of Iowa State. Many of these families have met as a group annually since 1987.

In 2000, the Alumni Association requested that the group officially form itself into what we today call the Family of the Year Society. Since that time, 130 individual family members, plus five honorary members, have been inducted into the society. For more information, contact Julie Larson at jlarson@alumni.iastate.edu.
