ARTICLE I – Purpose
The Iowa State University Society of Cardinal Key and Mortar Board Alumni brings together former ISU Cardinal Key (“CK”) and Mortar Board (“MB”) leaders for the purpose of increased fellowship among its members.
ARTICLE II – Structure
Each former student and each former or current faculty member, who has been selected for Cardinal Key or Mortar Board membership at ISU, is automatically a member of this ISU Society, informally called the “CK/MB Alumni Society”.
A reunion meeting of the CK/MB Alumni Society will be held annually at ISU during Alumni Days in May/June. CK and MB members from any class at ISU are welcome and encouraged to attend each annual reunion meeting, but special emphasis will be made to invite CK and MB alumni who are in the 50-year and other 5-year reunion classes, and other CK/MB alumni who graduated more than 40 years ago.
The affairs of the CK/MB Alumni Society, including planning for, personally inviting members to, and conducting the annual reunion during Alumni Days, will be conducted by a four-person group consisting of two CK/MB Coordinators and two CK/MB Coordinators-Elect. Coordinators will be from the upcoming 50th Reunion Class, and Coordinators-Elect will be from the upcoming 49th Reunion Class. Immediately after each annual reunion, the Coordinators-Elect will become Coordinators for the following reunion, and will be responsible for selecting new Coordinators-Elect from the then-upcoming 49th Reunion Class.
ARTICLE III – Amendment of Bylaws
Amendment of the Bylaws shall be by majority vote of those present and voting at the annual CK/MB Alumni Society reunion meeting held during Alumni Days. Amendments approved shall become effective immediately.
