Class Reunion Gift
Class Reunion GiftThe Class of 1958 has continued a long-standing ISU tradition by raising support for a reunion gift to the university -- actually, two gifts this year -- that will make an enduring impact on the university while leaving a legacy that honors our 50 years as alumni of Iowa State. First, an endowed scholarship established by the Class of 1958 will provide ongoing support in perpetuity -- only a percentage of the gift earnings, minus an administrative fee, is used to provide the award. This ensures the principal of the endowment, along with any unspent earnings, remains to allow the scholarship to grow over the years. Second, the veterinary graduates from the Class of 1958 have established a goal of naming a room in the new Dr. W. Eugene and Linda Lloyd Veterinary Teaching Hospital. During Alumni Days, the class will convene at the College of Veterinary Medicine to tour the new facility and determine which space will be named. These projects represent two of the highest priorities on campus right now -- to provide scholarship support for students and to complete the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, which will touch the lives of thousands of future students, faculty, patients, and clients. These projects will also give class members an opportunity to continue making gifts toward these funds long after the reunion is over.
