Athletics Department Special Events



The Iowa State University athletics department sponsors local events in which community members work together to raise money for and support Iowa State's athletics programs. Among the events sponsored by these programs are:

2008 Cyclone Tailgate Tour Presented by MidAmerican Energy Company
This summer, the ISU athletics department will sponsor the second annual Cyclone Tailgate Tour for fans in local communities. The caravan will feature seven stops:

May 14: Lindale Mall, Cedar Rapids
May 15: Mel Foster Realty Co., Bettendorf (location changed on May 6 due to flooding)
June 3: National Cattle Congress, Waterloo
June 4: North Iowa Fairgrounds, Mason City
June 5: Canterbury Park, Twin Cities (Shakopee)
June 10: Long Lines Recreation Center, Sioux City
June 11: Digz, 4428 South 140th Street, Omaha (NEW LOCATION AS OF 6/11/08 -- tent at Oak View Mall was destroyed Wednesday afternoon, so location was moved)

Each event will feature coaches, student-athletes, spirit squads, Cy, the pep band, interactive games and inflatables for children, door prizes, and much more -- all free of charge for all fans and friends of Iowa State!

The events will run from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
