Looking to meet new people? Looking for love? How about a date for Valentines’ Day? Let Cy, T.C., and Herky help you make a love connection during Mascot Matchmakers, a young alumni-focused speed dating event. This event is sponsored by the Iowa State Alumni Association as well as the UNI Alumni Association and the Iowa Alumni Association. Don’t miss your chance to network with fellow “singles in the city”…Cyclones, Panthers, and Hawkeyes alike!
This event will be modeled after a traditional speed networking/dating event. You’ll have a few minutes to meet one-on-one with fellow participants and make your best first impression. After each “round,” you will mark on your card (which you’ll receive the night of the event) if you would like to talk with this person more. If both of you mark “interested,” then we have a match!
After the event, you will turn your cards in to the event organizers (aka the alumni associations from Iowa State, Iowa, and UNI). We will go through the cards and pull out the matches. We will only share your information with the matches. The only contact information we share with your match (your e-mail, cell phone, work phone, etc.) will be what you give us permission to use the evening of the event.
Please remember that this event is all about having fun and meeting new people. No pressure! We ask that you NOT exchange contact information with fellow participants (including business cards) during the event. The alumni associations will take care of contacting all of the matches after the event.
