On June 3, more than 200 ISU alumni and friends attended Cy's Barnyard Bash, the annual Des Moines area networking social and picnic-style party at alumnus Don Jordahl's (ag education '58) beautiful acreage in southwest Des Moines, which includes an antique wooden peg barn and log cabin -- making for the perfect setting for a country casual gathering with an ISU twist.

Speakers at the event included Jordahl, ISU president Gregory Geoffroy, and ISU Alumni Association president Jeff Johnson, but the main focus of the event was relaxation, conversation, cold drinks, hot food, friends, country atmosphere, and fun, as a musical trio's melodies floated into the evening sky.
