Reunions
Reconnect at Iowa State University with on-campus reunions and special events. The ISU Alumni Association and active ISU alumni annually plan special reunions to bring the spirit of Iowa State University alive for alumni of all ages and interests. Browse the list of upcoming reunions to see what's already planned, or check out information about how you can plan your own special reunion.
Upcoming Reunions:
Alumni Days Class Reunion
Every year, Alumni Days is organized by the ISU Alumni Association and members of the 50-year reunion class to induct graduates into the university's prestigious Gold Medal Club. This one-of-a-kind event is one of the largest events of the year for Iowa State alumni.
Currently there are not other reunions planned for class reunion years. However, if you are interested in planning a reunion for your specific class, the Alumni Association is happy to assist you.

Organizing a Special Reunion
If you are interested in organizing a special reunion for an organization in which you were involved while attending Iowa State (department, honorary group, residence hall floor, Greek house, etc.), we encourage you to think about planning your special reunion during Homecoming week in the fall. There are many activities already planned around Homecoming that can be included in your reunion schedule, allowing you to plan just a few events and still have a full weekend for attendees.
The Alumni Association can offer reunion expertise to help with your planning. Please review the expectations we have of a reunion coordinator, as well as everything the Alumni Association can do to assist you in creating a memorable reunion experience.
Alumni Association expectations of a reunion coordinator:
- Choose dates of reunion
- Determine constituent group to be invited and assist with name and address location if the information is currently not coded in the records system
- Coordinate schedule of events
- Recruit other members of group to serve on reunion planning committee
- Develop a budget that includes member/non-member pricing
- Include a minimal per person registration fee to costs
Alumni Association assistance:
Prior to the reunion:
- Mail a save-the-date postcard/interest survey to Alumni Association members (if fewer than 500 people)
- Secure a block of hotel rooms
- Communicate reunion to constituent group via e-mail to members and non-members, information posted on the ISUAA Web site, information posted on the ISUAA online events calendar, and information included in VISIONS magazine if time-appropriate
- Process reservations
During the reunion:
- Provide nametags for participants
- Provide registration packets
- Provide a welcome speaker from the ISU Alumni Association
- Offer a campus tour guide
- Provide up to 10 stand-up Cys and 20 poms for decorations (additional items may be purchased)
- Provide one $25 gift certificate to be used toward ISUAA merchandise (additional items may be purchased)
