ISU Sesquicentennial CelebrationFor all the latest information on sesquicentennial, go to http://www.iastate.edu/isu150/ Overview of Sesquicentennial Events and Projects Sesquicentennial Calendar What We Love About Iowa State Service Projects Tradition and Transformation Kicking Things Off at VEISHEA 2007 Iowa State University kicked off its 150th anniversary as part of VEISHEA on Saturday, April 21, 2007, when central campus was transformed into "Sesquicentennial VEISHEA Village." with displays, exhibits, and activities that promoted Iowa State history as well as current service and educational programs. In addition, a 20,000-piece birthday cake was cut and served by ISU President Gregory Geoffroy and other ISU dignitaries. View Photos from the Kickoff Event Happy Birthday, Iowa State! Founder's Day -- ISU's official birthday -- is Saturday, March 22, 2008. Wrapping Things Up at VEISHEA 2008 Iowa State University will close out its year-long sesquicentennial celebration on Saturday, April 12. The closing ceremonies will be held at the Campanile and immediately follow the conclusion of the VEISHEA parade. |
