My name is Geof Grimes, and I'm the president of the ISUAA Club of Black Hawk County. I want to invite you to join our club! We have tons of opportunities for you to get involved and have fun with your fellow Cyclones.

Membership in the ISUAA Club of Black Hawk County is easy! If you are a member of the Alumni Association, you are a member of the club. ISUAA Club of Black Hawk County Scholarship
The ISU Alumni Association Club of Black Hawk County annually offers scholarship(s) in varying quantities and amounts to a current third or fourth year student at Iowa State University.  To be eligible students must have graduated from a Black Hawk County High School, demonstrated excellence in academics, and made a positive contribution to Iowa State outside the classroom.  This scholarship is awarded each year at the club’s spring event held at the end of May.

Barney Simmons Scholarship
The Barney Simmons Scholarship is an award that is open to all student-athletes participating at Iowa State in Mr. Simmons' two favorite sports – men’s basketball and football. Recipients are selected annually on a combined basis of athletic and academic ability and carry an expectation to represent Iowa State University and Cyclone Athletics with character and honor, in much the same way Barney Simmons represented Iowa State during his life. Barney, an ISU alumnus with a degree in civil engineering, was an ardent supporter of Iowa State University, particularly the athletics teams. A great advocate for his school through the region of northeast Iowa, Barney also served as an ISU Foundation Governor, received the Alumni Merit Award, and was named Cy’s Favorite Alum.

All scholarships will be supported at this summers golf outing in Waterloo. If you would like to make a contribution, please send a check to the ISU Foundation with a note indicating where you would like the funds directed. Thank you for your support!
