Scholarships
Do you know an area high school senior heading up to Iowa State next year? Let’s get their Cyclone days started right with a scholarship! The Kansas City Iowa State University Alumni Club sponsors two scholarships to Iowa State. These scholarships are generally for first year freshmen entering ISU.
One award of $1,000 (renewable each year at $500) and one of $500 (renewable each year at $250) is available for the Kim Bailey and Sandra J. Chandler Memorial Scholarships, respectively. Each award is given to a first-year student from a high school in the Kansas City metropolitan area (parents do not have to be alumni). While the same application will be used for each scholarship, the applicant is eligible to receive only one scholarship, Students must be admitted to Iowa State, have completed the FAFSA, and rank in the top 25 percent of their high school graduating class. Selection will be based on leadership capabilities, academic achievements, character, and personality, with a special emphasis on financial need.
To submit an application for these scholarships, click on the links below to access the application forms. The application deadline is April 15, and students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to remain eligible for renewal.
For questions, please contact Kyle Morrissey, Scholarship Coordinator, at 816-977-9900 or via email at kyle_morrissey@hotmail.com.
