ISU Alumni Association Special Interest Societies

Society -- an organized group for a particular purpose or common interest.

Were you part of an organization when you attended ISU? Are you interested in reconnecting with those individuals who shared some of your same interests? Would you like to initiate a special interest society for your specific group? It's one more way to stay connected to ISU and to other alumni who share the same interests and experiences. If this sounds like something you are interested in pursuing, contact us and get started with organizing your special interest society!

How to Get Started
When you are ready to get started, contact Katie Lickteig (kbruxvoo@iastate.edu; 515-294-1955). Be ready to discuss the purpose of your society and what help you might need from the Alumni Association (help with setting up a Facebook group, contacting people, promotion, help with a reunion, etc.). We encourage each society to have a leadership group of at least 2-3 people.

If your group is looking for an online community, you can set up a Facebook group. Your society will also be listed on the Alumni Association’s website (see current list below).

If you have questions about special interest societies, contact Katie Lickteig at kbruxvoo@iastate.edu.
