Embark on a true safari experience as a small group enjoying quintessential wildlife viewing in Kenya and Tanzania. Travel from grasslands to highlands, through reserves and national parks, to experience firsthand views of the local wildlife and natural landscapes. Highlights of your 17-day tour include the vast plains and green covered hills of Masai Mara, where you’re as likely to encounter Maasi tribesmen as elephants and zebra; and Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll see Africa in microcosm. Enjoy intimate visits to Amboseli National Park in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Serengeti National Park, considered the finest preserve in all Africa. With twice daily game drives in most parks, you’re likely to see the pride of the continent including lions, leopards, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, hippos, black rhino, and buffalo, just to name a few. Conclude at peaceful Lake Manyara, one of Tanzania’s smallest and most diverse national parks. This area is noted for its abundant bird life, including masses of dazzling pink flamingoes. A 4-day/3-night optional post-tour extension is available to explore exotic Zanzibar, Tanzania.
