Overview (Return to top)

Join us on this fabulous cruise along the Rivieras of France and Italy. This short 10-day cruise features world-famous ports of call. The weather should be perfect, and you will fall in love with your ship: the 684-Barcelona to Rome 1passenger Oceania m/s Insignia.

Just the word “Riviera” bears a certain cachet that conjures up a treasure-trove of wonderful images, all of which can be experienced on this voyage. Begin your journey in Barcelona, Spain, where you may choose to begin your voyage early with an optional hotel program. Our first port of call will be Palma De Mallorca, where the magnificent Cathedral and Bellver Castle await. Browse the haute couture boutiques in elegant Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera, and then relax on the legendary beaches. Fly over Monte Carlo in a helicopter, taking in the majestic scenery that includes the Maritime Alps and the cathedral where Prince Rainer III married Grace Kelly. The Italian Riviera is equally spectacular, as you will see in picturesque Portofino, where you may wish to walk the winding, narrow streets up to Brown Castle and through the pine forests to the Faro, the town’s lighthouse and most scenic outlook point. Then it’s on to Florence, the birthplace of the renaissance, and Sardinia. This cruise also allows for a leisurely evening in Sorrento, a stunningly beautiful town that invites further exploration to sites such as ancient Pompeii at the foot of infamous Mt. Vesuvius, or the fabled Isle of Capri. Then it’s Amalfi and Positano, and finally the Eternal City: Rome. A truly fantastic itinerary!

The luxurious Insignia is perfect for this coastal itinerary. The cuisine has been designed by celebrity chef Jacques Pépin and may be the finest food on the high seas. Other amenities include nightly entertainment, the sublime Mandara Spa, superb personal service, enrichment offerings, country-club ambiance, and a modern health club, just to name a few.

Book early for special prices and free airfare from select cities.
