Beat Iowa Week 2016

Sept. 5-10, 2016

Rivalry with a Heart Pep Rally & Food Drive

Presented by The Premier Chevy Dealers of Iowa

Des Moines-area Cyclones can help the hungry and enjoy a downtown happy hour at this first-ever event. Jointly sponsored by the Iowa State and University of Iowa Alumni Associations, Des Moines-area businesses and alumni are encouraged to team up on National Hunger Day to provide donations for the Food Bank of Iowa as part of a friendly competition to see which school can collect the most. The food drive will culminate at the pep rally, which will feature the Iowa Craft Beer Tent, grilled food for purchase from Hy-Vee, giveaways, live music, and appearances from both schools' band, spirit squad, and mascots. Merchandise from the Iowa State University Book Store and Iowa Hawk Shop will be available for purchase.

Join us in Des Moines on Sept. 8 as we celebrate the spirit of the Cy-Hawk rivalry--as well as our state's generous spirit of giving!
