Students from the Communication Studies program at ISU will present programs on a variety of communication topics in March and April. The students are members of the ComSt 319 Class: Communication Training and Development. The programs are part of their course assignments this semester. You are invited to attend any or all of the following programs. These programs are free to OLLI members and no registration is required.
Tuesday, March 21, 3-4 p.m. – Dinner Around the World. Are you interested in learning to communicate while sharing a meal with people from different cultures? Sharing a meal provides great insight into a culture and its people. This program will cover the cultural dimensions and appropriate behaviors for meal time in a variety of cultures, providing you with a deeper understanding and practical application of intercultural communication.
Tuesday, March 21, 4-5 p.m. – Conflict Between Generations. Are you having trouble relating to younger generations? Our program on conflict management techniques will offer new approaches to generational differences by focusing on effective solutions to understand and resolve intergenerational conflict.
