Angie Handorf Lookingbill is a successful business professional and community volunteer who has never shied away from providing gifts of time, talent, and treasure to her alma mater. Her work with the Cardinal & Gold Gala committee has been of particular benefit to Iowa State University over the past four years.
Lookingbill co-chaired the Gala auction committee that has raised more than $135,000 to support first-generation student scholarships and Alumni Association outreach programming at Iowa State since the annual event began in 2011. A certified consultant in The Birkman Method®, Lookingbill is a partner in the Des Moines-based professional coaching firm Wright-Lookingbill, where she uses the personality assessment techniques to help individuals work effectively together by appreciating one another’s strengths and needs.
In addition to her career and volunteer service to the Alumni Association, Lookingbill is active with the Shuler Elementary Parent Teacher Organization, Junior League of Des Moines, John Stoddard Cancer Center Rally Against Cancer, and Lutheran Church of Hope. She received the Junior League of Des Moines’ “Active Member of the Year” award in 2010.
