Raeann Hanlon’s enthusiasm, passion, involvement, and expertise have touched every corner of the Iowa State campus during her undergraduate career. From her active participation in honor societies, academic clubs, and community outreach initiatives to her work as one of ISU Extension and Outreach’s prestigious Heddleson Interns, Raeann clearly thrives in the face of new challenges and opportunities.
The 2015 Iowa State Fair Miss Leadership Award recipient has received numerous scholarships and awards throughout her college career, including the national Margaret Budd Haemer Scholarship from her sorority, Kappa Delta, for which she was recently ISU’s chapter president. Raeann is particularly proud of the philanthropic work she has done with Kappa Delta to support and empower girls worldwide, including the Confidence Coalition, International Women’s Friendship Month, International Girls Day, Girl Scouts of America, and Prevent Child Abuse Iowa.
Raeann currently serves as president of Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Society, and she is also active in Order of Omega, Eta Sigma Delta, and Gamma Sigma Alpha. She is involved with the College of Human Sciences Student Council, College of Human Sciences Ambassadors, the ISU Fashion Show, the Your Wedding Iowa Bridal Forum, ISU Event Management Club, ISU Bacon Expo, Emerging Greek Leadership Council, Orchesis II Dance Club, First Presbyterian Church and its “Food at First” program, 4-H, and FFA.
She is a member of the Student Alumni Association.
