The sculpture welcomes and draws in the campus community and visitors and encourages further exploration of the building. Paley’s unique entryway sculpture, titled Transformation, dramatically defines the double entrance staircase, giving students an opportunity to approach the portico entrance from north to south. The renovated Morrill Hall building reflects the historic past of Iowa State. Paley’s sculpture exemplifies the transformation of the building from the historic to contemporary use.
