Strike up the band and grab an empty treat bag! The Iowa State Homecoming Parade is back Oct. 22!
The parade will officially step off south of City Hall in downtown Ames at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 – kicking off Homecoming 2017: Sound the CYren with a community-wide cheer.
This year's parade will coincide with Family Weekend 2017 and our grand marshals will be the 2017 Iowa State Family of the Year -- the Younkin Family: Steven '15, Kyle '17, Kurtis '85, and Debbie, as well as Steven's bride Ruiman Yang '14.
As always, the parade will feature music, entertainment, and a showcase of campus and community partners who are celebrating Iowa State and Cyclones everywhere during Homecoming. Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun!
Please note: A free shuttle from campus to downtown Ames will be available starting at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 22.
