The Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC), a program of the Iowa State University Alumni Association, sponsors, plans, and coordinates programs and events for ISU students, alumni, the Ames community, and prospective students. The group provides activities that enhance school spirit both on campus and off campus for Cyclones everywhere!

Committees

Executive Committee

The core leadership group for SALC, "exec" includes the president, vice president, and director of marketing, along with the co-chairs of Homecoming Central, Ambassadors, and Cyclone Alley Central committees and the Senior Class Council president and vice president

Cyclone Alley Central

Responsible for all aspects of the student men's and women's basketball game day experience in Cyclone Alley, including rewards, cheers/chants, marketing and communications, and special events. Applications open in the middle of late March, usually the week after spring break.

Homecoming Central Committee

Plans and implements all aspects of one of ISU's oldest traditions: its annual homecoming celebration -- including Painting Victory Lane, Yell-Like-Hell, ExCYtement in the Streets, display contests, the silent auction at the ISUAA Cyclone Central Tailgate, student tournaments, and more. Applications open immediately following ISU Homecoming in late October - early November.

Senior Class Council

Made up of ISU juniors and graduating seniors, SCC plans Senior Week and a variety of career events for ISU seniors. Applications open in the middle of late March, usually the week after spring break.
